Hey you've reached Kate, Joe and Joseph, leave a message after the beep...

Starting to wonder why when you call we're never in the house?

We're out working on the patio! Which, by the way, is looking BEAUTIFUL!!

Even Joseph helps out.
Or maybe he just poses with the pavers...

Walkway around the side of the house

Here comes Joseph cottontail...

Joseph was in rare form today, I guess because it's the first day that he has felt healthy in a little while!

We went outside to play in the warm sunshine and he got to sport his new sunglasses. Is there anything you can't get for a child nowadays?

When I got him the sunglasses I seriously thought the only time he would wear them was while he was asleep.

Me and Mr. Ugly

A few pictures of Joseph and his favorite stuffed friend, Mr. Ugly.

They sleep together at night and play together during the day!

Joseph in March

Joseph would stay in the tub all day if he could he just loves splashing and playing!

Him and his pirate rubber ducky. Aaarrgggh!

Fast forward to now

Ok, now that I feel like the blog has a good beginning for the story I can fast forward to today. Now Joseph is 7 and 1/2 months old. He has has his two bottom teeth for about 3 months now and his top teeth are just breaking through now. He is a master crawler and can get anywhere he wants to in a lot less time than you would think, ie. don't leave him unattended if even for a moment!
He is well on his way through the solid food and has a a good grasp on finger foods too. Among his favorites are Gerber puffs, banana, and graham crackers, which by the way are very messy.

Joseph and Makenzie just hanging out and playing.

Joseph is here

I'm writing this a little after the fact but I thought this would be a great way to get information out to people who aren't on MySpace or Facebook.

August 1st, 2007 Joseph is born

We went in for induction on July 31st, seven days after my due date.
Seven long days after my due date. We were in good spirits and excited to meet our little man!

After a night of labor, and a little pushing....

....and a little begging....

...Joseph was born by C-section at 8:50 am

I remember thinking when meeting him for the first time that his fingernails were an odd color. They are aren't they!?
